have had enlarged lymph nodes in the back of my neck for 5 months. A new one popped up 6 weeks ago and I had a cervical biopsy of just that 1 node, no ct scan or anything before the biopsy (no insurance) The original pathology report stated that a low grade limproliferative disorder was suspected. They sent it to a 2nd lab and this was the result : Hyperplastic Lymph nodes with increased number of sinusoidal histiocytes. The tissue biopsy reveals an enlarged lymph node with numerous primary resting follicles and scattered germinal centers (secondary follicles) CD3 and CD20 immunohistiochemistry highlights a normal distribution of T-cells and B-cells, respectively BCL-2 is negative in the germinal centers and positive in the T-cells and primary follicle B-cells. I have a strong family history of lymphoma and leukemia. if clinical suspicion is high for lymphoproliferative disorder, T and b cell gene arrangement studies can be performed on the parrifin embedded tissue. (nobody wants to have this discussion with me) I have severe night sweats and fatigue. can anyone interpret this and tell me if I need a second opinion. Doctor released me and said not to worry unless I get bigger nodes. Still have original nodes in the back of my head. Having a lot of pain after the biopsy in my neck head and collar bone. It has been 5 weeks. Biopsy site feels like a new lump and is hard in the back of my neck. Ct scan says biopsy site shows a spray artifact? somebody please give me a sense of direction. Thanks for your time
