Hi, I am 17 years old as of last month, and I have a question/concern. I still have not ejaculated (consciously). I have had "wet dreams" apparently since I was around 13 or so, and when masturbating all I get is "pre-cum." I don't think that I have ever had the urge to ejaculate while masturbating..I'm just wondering if something is wrong; should I be concerned? Thanks!

At 17 I think I would see a doctor about this. Don't be embarassed. This is too important to ignore and the doc will not be judging you, only trying to help.

Yes...do see a Dr. and soon. At 17 you should have not have this problem. I don't mean this as a scare tactic, but it is important. Asher

So I've got a question. You say that you release some pre-cum but you don't ejaculate semen. Do you continue to masturbate and lose your erection before ejaculating or do you just keep strokin' with no success? This may be important in terms of helping you understand what may be going on. Also, how frequent are your "wet dreams" and how often do you attempt to masturbate? Any attempts at sexual intercourse or oral sex and what were the results there? I know these are pretty tough and very personal questions but I feel like we need a bit more info to be able to help you!

Do you continue to masturbate and lose your erection before ejaculating or do you just keep strokin' with no success? Basically I just keep stroking nothing happens so I give up

Also, how frequent are your "wet dreams" and how often do you attempt to masturbate? maybe once or twice a month I'm really not sure and how many times I masurbate it depends maybe 2-4 times a week

And I haven't had sexual intercourse or oral sex

Man, this is a tough situation and difficult to figure out. The wet dreams are more frequent than I've heard about, but your body is releasing the built up semen in its natural way. It would seem to me that you could masturbate to ejaculation without problems. One thing we know though is that your body is doing its job and producing the semen and releasing it through wet dreams. I'm not quite sure why you can't ejaculate through masturbation. Do you have an orgasm without and ejaculation? Remember, those are two seperate things. I'd suggest this. Stop attempting to masturbate for a week or so and see how many wet dreams you have in that time frame. Then, try to masturbate to ejaculation to see if you can. This may be tough and I'd use lubrication, but as long as you're erect keep stroking and see if you can ejaculate that way. Let us know how this turns out. I hope this helps, but you may need to consult with a doc about this if things don't work out. Hang in there bud, I think things will be fine.

Hi guys...hope you don't mind if I butt in here.

Obviously he's able to ejaculate as evidenced by the occurence of "wet dreams", so perhaps when he masturbates he's just not giving himself the stimulation required to bring him to orgasm...?

masturbation for a guy is a little simpler, females are so complex with their orgasms :P

but i would suggest trying to do it fairly quickly for a few minutes and definitely be thinking about sexual things while you do it. doing it slow can make it great, but maybe you're going soft because its taking longer and you haven't yet found out the best rhythms. try to do it fast and don't stop.. also try to get lost in your fantasy at the same time. sounds like everything else is working right, just try to keep going. you should feel it feeling better and better, and then you will have this urge to keep on going until it all climaxes and you're left feeling empty :P hehe. good luck

To add to Sheitan's post: Just a thought but Make sure your not thinking about where the 'mess' is going as that could be sub consciously making you hold back.Maybe think about Finding some place that is easy to clean up after and also where you wont be disturbed. Good Luck

Since you are able to get an erection and ejaculate (in your sleep) your problem doesn't seem to be related to any physical ailment. You might want to try other techniques of masturbating. However, your problem is very likely a psychological issue. I recommend that you discuss this problem with a doctor and / or a psychologist. Good luck.
