This is horrible... I'm only 18 years old and, the last 2 times i tried to have sex I couldnt get hard enough.
The first time i was drunk and really tired because it was about 6am and i had no sleep before that
So i just blamed it on the alcohol and thought it wouldnt happen again
couple days later i tried again, and couldnt get/stay hard enough for intercourse.
This is horrible, I didnt think this could happen to somebody my age.
I think it could be from marijuana usage, but still it seems odd happening to somebody my age.
I'm begging for help... I dont know what to do and I dont want it to happen again.
I'm thinking (more like HOPING) there are some excersises I can do, or maybe i should buy some ginseng?
I really dont know

I know this is probably guy stuff, but being a woman, I have encountered this problem in the past, softness from my partner, shall we say it kindly.
Drugs, alcohol, tiredness, mentally not there, you know, mind and body not cooperating at same time. Or just trying to hang in there longer and longer to avoid the end because it feels so good, have all been causes that I have encountered with both my present husband and my ex-husband.
I'm not trying to preach, but sex to me is a heck of alot better minus alcohol and drugs.

Tigershot,
I think you're going to be fine.
25% of erectile dysfunction episodes result from drug use. In other words, lay off the marijuana.
Likewise, it's common for guys to have some stress related to sex. After all, sex can be a bit overwhelming, so there might be a psychological element to your problem.
My advice: don't get too concerned, this happens to a lot of guys. Ease up on the pot, and be very careful with alcohol.
Take care,
Mats (a nurse.)

Thanks for the comments
The second time I tried I guess I was worried it would happen again, but I didnt think I would have a problem because I was sober.
It seems like after that night, I havent been getting as hard as I used to... and both nights I was semi-hard just not hard enough for intercourse. I couldnt keep an erection.
I'm going to try and rest, stop drinking and smoking marijuana. I was just hoping there was something I could do about it rather than just hope it doesnt happen again.
Thanks again

Do not try to make or keep your penis hard intentionally. Do not try to controll your penis by your mind. It can create problems doing sex.
Just relax. Body naturally respons doing sex. Donīt give pressure.

So there is nothing I can do about it but rest and hope it doesnt happen again?!
I was hoping there would be something I could take or do, so I'm sure it wont happen the next time
Will ginseng help?

Could you be so worried about it that you are making yourself impotent with paranoia?

Hi Tiger,
I sympathise with you because although I am female when I first got with my partner he was 18 and for the first few times he tried he couldnt get it even half hard, we later realised it was because he didnt feel right about going with me because he had been with plenty of girls in the past I was different.
Aftera few weeks together we done it with no probs and it was worth the wate.
My advise is alot of men worry when they cant get it up, maybe youve deeper feelings for the girls you tried to go with or something just didnt feel right. We are human after all and sometimes people just dont feel like sex and after drinking all night all I want to do is go to sleep. Dont be so hard on yourself, if it helps go see a gp s/he will be able to put your min to rest.
By the way im still with my partner that was 3 years ago.
