Hi guys! this is a question a/b my bf. He's 20 & just got his upper back waxed for the 1st time & his skin has broken out REALLY BAD in pimples & whiteheads (not a pretty sight)!!
He says it feels like a sunburn; i guess from ripping the wax off. His skin is very sensitive and he breaks out often.
What should we do to clear up his back? We just started using Neutrogena astringent and then a Neutrogena overnight pimple gel that i normally use for my face. And he also uses that Neutrogena (we like Neutrogena http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif body scrub on his back...could these products be irritating it?
Should we be putting something to soothe the skin or dry it out? If it doesn't clear up in a/b a week we're gonna go to a dermatologist, but b4 we go that drastic, do any of u guys have any suggestions? Has this happened to any1 else? Sorry this is so long. But Please help!

I think I would call my famil doctor and talk to the nurse there and tell them what you did and see what they have to say. It sounds like a skin infection from pulling and breaking off hairs. I am sure it is not the first time your doctor has seen this.

Yeup it irritation. Let it clear up and if you go back to the waxing place he should take a shower with a non mosterizing soap and then after the waxing put some of lotion with mosterizer for a least two days.
