Hey everyone, Haven't posted in awhile have just been dealing with pain. If you read in past posts I have had alot of dental work done in the last two months. Rott canl (which failed) Extraction of that tooth. Four surface filling on other side of mouth. After all of this my TMJ issues started. I am supposed to be going to see a specialist DEc.4. Anyway, I had a root canal this past Monday on the tooth next to the previous tooth I had pulled. The tooth was still painful and questionable about which to to work on in the first palce. O.K. so obviously, I have root canal pain and TMJ pain. Horrible. The tooth on other side which had the four surface filling has not bothered me at all until after this root canal. It is not hurrendous only when I bite in something hard. She did have me biting hard on this thing that holds your moth open on that side. She said she needed some resistance when she was shoving the files down in to the other tooth(the one she was doing the root canal on the other side. So, now my whole mouth is killing me. Tmj/rootcanal/ new filing pain which had better go away or some one is going to pay. Have any of you ever taken a medrol dose pack. She wants me to try this I don't know. I guess I am just ranting. Any idea why the new filling on the other side woul be sensitive now? Shelley:angel:

Hi--the filling teeth are probably sore because--Of biting down on that thing during your root canal, or you are clenching down on that spot at night, and the fillings made your bite be "off" or unbalanced in some way. If you go back in to her , make sure she checks to see if your bite is balanced correctly, and you don't have any high spots. You gotta love dental work....:eek: especially if you feel that it wasn't done properly. I feel for you..I can't wait to hear how your appt. goes in Dec.---I hope that you get some answers to the problems. If you want to vent, I'm here for you..:angel:

ThanKs Jill, It feels like my teeth don't fit together properly. Like when I go to bite down -my lower jaw has to slide to the left to fit. I can't imagine what that specialist is going to see. lots of interesting things. My jaws were crunching this morning All I can hope is that today is going to be a better day. Well if she had to put a temporary filling in the root canaled tooth I guess that would take the bite off even more. How many days till the 4th?! Hope you are feeling better!
