Last night I drank alot. I was at home with just my roomates. I know I was really sad and this week has been a disaster. I took some pills. Just random pills I have in a little box I keep (sudifed, pain killers, laxitives, i don't know what else). I don't know how many of what I took, but I woke up this morning for work fine. I have a headach. Some days I'm perfectly fine and my life couldn't be better. Sometimes I just want to die. What is going on?

hiya ginge
first of all i am so sorry that you are feeling so bad at the moment and that it has really gotten to breaking point for you

second of all i really would go to your emergency room to have some liver and kidney tests done although you may feel ok it could have done some damage and i really would advise you to get a few tests done just explain what happened and they will advise you on the best course of action

have you been to see a dr about how you are feeling? if not i think it would be wise to go as you cannot go on hurting yourself and i think seeing a dr would really help
if you cant face going alone take a friend or family member with you

i hope this helps

Dear Ginger,

first of all, I agree with BlueCoud, you should go to the ER and have yourself checked out if you're really ok.
See the problem with depression etc is that sometiems these thoughts, these FEELINGS really take over and we do things that we wouldn't normally do. Our brain plays tricks on us. Depression makes us feel like we want to die, and really it is just an ILLNESS, we just FEEL that way! And we need to be so careful because that illness can actually kill us, making us feel like we want to die and then we become careless... while really the HEALTHY PART inside of us would NOT want to die!!!
Scary, in a way, I think.

That is why we need help. Because that illness is treatable. There IS help. Sometimes we are not save from ourselves and we need to talk to somebody IMMEDIATELY!!! Even if it means calling 911, or a suicide hotline would be an option... or calling a friend. So we can keep ourswelves SAFE while that weird stuff is going on in our brains.

I really hope you're ok.

HUGS!!!!!!!!!
