Hi all
I'm not sure how to put this without being reasonably explicit so I'll try anyway.

I'm 64 y.o. and married but still masturbate quite frequently (average probably 3-4 times per week). I've noticed lately that when I'm masturbating on my back in bed and ejaculate, my ejaculate seems quite thick compared to the way it was (say) a couple of years ago.

Now it just oozes out and lies on my tummy in small thickish pools and stays like that. Before, it was thinner and would actually squirt out a bit and trickle down my side if I didn't mop up quickly.

Is this likely to be a problem and should I consult a (my) doctor?
Thanks in advance. :)

I am 59 and yes thats normal, with age we just can't "shoot" as far as we did, and I too have noticed that at times it is "thicker" than years ago too

Semen consistency is greatly affected by how much fluid you drink.

Thanks for your response. It's definitely not lack of fluid intake because I drink a lot of water etc during the day.
I'm sure it's OK but I might still mention it too my GP.
Cheers

I just noticed your age. When I was young, I would routinely hit the headboard, or my hair.
Now that I'm in my fifties, a good distance is a foot or less. This changes with age, and is absolutely normal. Semen changes in consistency in moments. It starts thicker, and changes to thin, to allow the sperms to swim. Perhaps yours is not breaking down as fast as it used to. Again, nothing to worry about. If it concerns you, you can always ask your doctor.
It is great to hear that you are so vigorous, at any age.
