well i really hope you guys can help me out on this. i've posted in the IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) forum, but i wanted to get an opinion in here as well.

basically, when i get anxious or nervous, i tend to overreact and start thinking along negative lines; this leads to more stress, and worse IBS symptoms. the worse IBS is, the worse i feel about myself because of lack of controlling the IBS, and just feeling bad in general.

...i need to relax...i need to realize that life is ok and things aren't going to be bad. the only reason things are ever bad is because i worry so much about them, i can't avoid them. and i really need to stop this. i've always had trouble in life coping with new experiences, or just any new addition to an old lifestyle, a lifestyle that i'm used to. well, recently, i've added the girlfriend addition to my life, and we like each other a lot, so i don't want to break up with her; but i feel as if the addition of her as a girlfriend is really starting to stir up my stress and cause me more problems than i had before she was in my life.

i would just appreciate it if you guys could help me out at all and give me any tips on how to relax. thanks a lot.
