Two weeks ago my brother was committed by a court to a Psychratric hospital. He is hearing voices, thinks he is god, very violent, and agitated. He has been on pcychosis medications, although at first he constantly refused them and now takes them but still refuses at times. At first the hospital thought it may be drug related and would wear off. It is now becoming apparent it is not wearing off, and has shown little improvement. He calls family members but really only to have them get him out. We are trying to find out if he needs to be moved or if the drugs will just need to take more time. Any information would be helpful.
