I recenlty started on lexapro and was wondering for those of you who are taking lexapro, have you found that it's better to take it in the morning or evening?

I've been taking Lexapro for 3 weeks now and I find it works better for me to take it in the am....if I take it in the pm I cant seem to get to sleep....I really like the lexapro....I've taken Paxil but had quite a few side effects that lasted...with Lexapro I had side effects the first week....smooth sailing now.... :D

yeah i've been taking lexapro for several months now. i love it. i also take it in conjunction with wellbutrin SR. it's a really good mix and does well.

Why do you also take wellbutrin? I've heard several people say they take both meds but was unsure why.....

I tried it both ways and I found that if I take it in the morning, it does make me tired throughout the day, but if I take it at night, then I can't sleep a wink! So I take it in the morning because I'd rather be tired during the day instead of up all night.
