hi all! i am not sure what is going on. i have been having pain in my legs, back and neck since thanksgiving of last year. they grew to be unbearable about 1 month ago. i have trembeling, tingeling, pins and needles, fatigue, headaches, heaviness in the legs, blurred vision, frequent urination, but at times have problems urinating although i have to, constipation one moment diarreah the next, moodiness, forgetfullness, (i forget what i am about to say, forgetting my purse) i went to a neuro, had 2 mri's on brain, one of neck. emg, blood work, and it came back fine. he put me on neurontin, oxycontin, relafin, and amitripyline. they are helping with the pain, and allowing me to get some sleep. i also have a aweird symptom, i am laying down and it feels as if my legs are crossed at the ankle and they are not.
the past few days my right arm has been numb. my neuro told my pcp that he thought it may be ms. but he has not told me anything other than it may be a demyilanting virus or it could possibly be ms. he wants to wait to do the lumbar and another mri on my next flair up. what do you think? any help or infomation will mean alot to me. i am sorry that this is so long i am just afraid. i appreciate any help. thanks so much. my email is ddonley02@msn.com thanks again! hope you are having a terriffic day!

Hi there,I was reading the board and seen your entry. Everything you have described
I have and more. But you never know about this crazy MS thing.I was dx three years ago with it.I have the strange feeling of my legs being crossed when their not. They feel like lead most of the time.I stay off balance alot to.My vision comes and goes, and I don't sleep much at all.In fact I'm lucky if I get two or three hours a night. So far my doctor has me on
tegretol for burning in my spine, zanaflex
for spasticty in my legs, and methotrexate
[chemo] to try to slow the progression down.So far my flair ups haven't been as bad as usual. The doctor also told me it may lay dormant for years befor showing up.I hope you don't have MS,but if you do
there are medications out there that are
working for alot of people.Good chance they will work for you to.
Take care of yourself.Let me know what happens. Johona

Denise,

I have had that 'wierd' feeling of my legs being crossed, and also that my hands are palm up when they are palm down, and visa versa. Never thought of it being related to MS, but I think with this disease anything is possible.

Good luck!
