My DR recently suspeced I have MS, so an MRI was performed. The radiologist report said that Early MS was viewed on both sides in the anterior collasal sagital interface (whatever that is). My symptoms are: I see spots in part of the field of view. The spots appear for a minute, up to around 5 minutes. Extreme fatigue. the fingers of my hands go numb for sometimes hours. Sometimes on hand, sometimes both at the same time. My right eye twitches uncontrollably. Sometimes I can feel it twitch, sometimes not. The Neurologist said that the radiologist was overzealous, and since my symptoms are not progressing in intensity, then it is not MS. He suggests I have an anxiety problem, and also should see an opthomologist. This is very frustrating. I'm not dreaming it up..something, somewhere, is wrong. Anyone else have these problems?

It is very upsetting to have your doc suggest to you that it may all be in your head, yet has the proof of something in his hands. I would go get a 2nd opinion from a different doc., maybe one that specializes in this field. I don't have this type or problem but have had back problems all my life. I was told by a chiro. and my physical therapist that I didn't have herniated disk symptoms and they worked on me for about 6 months, in the meantime making me feel I wasn't doing enough myself to get better! I found out through all my reading and research that I had ALL the symptoms of a herniation and ended up waisting a year of sufferring before finally going to a neuro. and having surgery. So, I would not hesitate if i were you, to go to a doc who is not going to wave off your symptoms. Good luck to you

I forgot to let you know, you will need your original MRI with you when you go for the 2nd opinion. All you have to do is first call and make the appt. for a 2nd opinion with whatever type of doc specializes in diagnosing MS, then call and tell them at the original MRI dept. that you will be picking the MRI up and you will just have to sign to take them out, this is what I did also. Good luck
