hi crazyguy-have you seen a nuerologist? thats the best place to go. but i do have a couple friends that had carpel tunnel in both hands. the tingling heat and twitching are symptoms of ms but could be something else. i too wondered how it could happen as i was young also. please dont panic as stress can bring on other things. everyone is different. i know its easy to say believe me. a specialist will be much better help and if you dont find one you like find one that you feel very comfortable with. IF and just if it is ms try to find a support group. im in one and we are not depressing at all as a matter of fact we all said if we were to get something we are glad we have this to meet such wonderful people.we have lots of fun.and no you are not a hypocondriac. its a hard didease to diagnose. hope everthing is fine. let me know ok? good luck

I agree, seeing a neurologist is the only way you'll come close to getting some sort of an answer. And if you don't feel satisfied with what he/she says, then go get a second or third opinion if you must. It's your life, your body and your health...so fight for it! Don't give up until you get some answers. If you say you have good insurance, then that is a huge plus right there. Means you can be heard if you raise a little hell, and if you need to see more than one doctor, then so be it. Just don't give up! Please keep us posted on how you're doing. Take care!

Hi, I would see a neurologist and also get a complete blood workup done. I was sure I had MS since my dad had it and I had some symptoms he had...mainly excessive tiredness. After 20 years of this, I started having more symptoms like shooting pain in my arms and legs and weakness\pain in my hands. I also have a horrible memory and at times have problems with logical thinking (pretty bad for a programmer). I mentioned these to my dr. and right away he diagnosed a b12 deficiency. As long as I keep my level up...around 300, I don't have the physical problems...after this long, some things may never go away though. I have read that most people with MS also have a b12 deficiency so you don't know...see the neurologist. There are many drugs than can use early on to help prevent the progression of the disease.
Good Luck! Lynn
