Hello everyone,
I went to my appointment with the pain management doctor today and he agreed with me that I do NOT have Fibromyalgia. I already knew that but it is nice to hear from a professional. The thing that confused me was that he doesn't order any tests, he said that I would have to go through my Neurologist or Rheumatologist for that. I told him that they did not feel it neccessary to see me any more, so he said to talk to my family doctor.
He did, however, put me on Neurontin, 300 mg tablets at 6 a day, starting out 1 a day and working up to 6 pills a day.
Something else he said to me, "Michelle, I do honestly believe that you are in pain" I almost cried, I said "Thank you, you are the first person to ever say that to me in 5 years".
Now I have to go back to my family doc and squeeze some tests out of him that for some reason he is reluctant to do. I suppose if he is unwilling to cooperate with me, I will seek out a new doc.
I just wanted to keep you wonderful people up to date on what is happening with me. I still believe, as my doc had suggested, that I have MS.
Take care all,
Michelle

Hi, Read your email. I have read in different MS boards that you should add Neurontin every 4 days, and not add them sooner. Take one for 4 days, then add 1 more and so on. I think that it will make you tired and you should find out if 6 pills at 300m each is a lot. Some take more and some take less. You have to find the level you are confortable with.
