Hello everyone,
New things keep cropping up for me, I hate that.
Lately, for about 3 weeks now, my calves, in both legs, throb and spasm all the time. Constant pain that gets worse when i walk alot, like go to grocery, etc... The spasms hurt and when they are not spasming, they just ache, feels like I have been walking for days.
The other problem I am having is with healing. If I nick my leg when I shave them, the cut doesn't heal right. I still have unhealed cuts from shaving from about 3 weeks ago. I also got bitten by a flea on the side of my foot, 2 weeks ago, and it still hasn't healed up.
I was just curious if anyone else had these problems?
Thanks and take care,
Michelle

Hello all, Me again,
I thought I would add something on here, not a new symptom, but one I have had for about 3 years. Quite disgusting, not to mention embarrassing. I haven't even told my doctor about it because I am too embarrassed. About 3 yrs ago I developed jock itch, I thought it was probably from being slightly overweight from having my son just a few months before. It won't go away all the way. I do have Nystatin cream that I use on it. My 3 yr old used to have yeast in his intestines and when he would have a bowel movement it would distribute a yeast infection all over his butt and scrotum. I have a few tubes of it left that I use. I can get it almost gone, then it comes back at full force. I am not overweight like I used to be, only by about 10 to 15 pounds. I am so humiliated for even telling anyone about it. But thought I would mention it.
Take care all,
Michelle

Sorry, if I have missed a post whether or not you've been tested for diabetes. That can make someone prolong the healing process with cuts. Just a thought and may not apply at all.
I have only recently been diagnosed with MS, but I think I've had it for some time...different problems each time....walking for a time with alternating pain, numbness and weakness in my legs. Right now the flare up messed up my ability to use my writing hand, but I'm getting some feeling back now. Typing is getting better, too. :-)
Don't be afraid to ask your doctor about the symptons you mentioned, even if it's hard to do. You MUST be your best advocate for treatment and demand it so of your dr.
God Bless and best of luck to you. Regards, Sherry

I sent you a very long reply yesterday, but somehow it doesn't seem to have gotten to you. The long and short of it suggested that you seem to have Type 1 diabites symptoms. Check it out. Also, your symptoms are also indicative of a need for potasium supplementation. You can get some over the counter at your local drug store. If you are taking any type of diuretic the probability is greater. Diuretics leach potasium from the system and most doctors have their patients use a potasium sparing diuretic or have them on a potasium supplement like "Slo-K." OJ and bananas are great for replenishing potasium, but they are high in sugar and carbs. Either way, if it's a shortage of potasium you can fix that in a moments if you see your pharmacist.
Lastly, Most people take mushrooms to parties because they like to be with a fun guy (fungi). Sorry, about the bad pun. However, there are as many different types of fungi as there are bacterium. That means the baby's intestinal spread fungus treatment probably will not work on an adult topical fungal infection. A stronger antifungal with a steroid is most likely required. Fungi develop resistance to drugs, just as bacteria do. After a while what used to kill becomes food for them. Stop guessing and see a dermatologist or infectious diese specialist. Either one will probably recognize the culprit an a few moments and prescribe what is needed. Oh, by the way, a reminder that if you do have a blood sugar problem, you can be fighting differents infections all day long with little success. Sugar in the system feeds germs and fungi. Remove the sugar and the infections will respond to the treatments. I have a friend that has been nursing a chest wound from open heart surgery for months. It kept on growing, until they increased his insulin intake, lowered his blood sugar and as Gomer would say, "Golly, Gee Wiz, Seargent, it all went away." Starve bugs and fungus, but feed your mind and you'll get better faster.

I had a similar problem and I tried a very unorthodox treatment but it worked. I purchased Monostat (sp?)vaginal treatment for yeast infections. Although it came in three premade plungers, I opened them and just used enough to cover the rash area. I used it every day until all of the medication was gone and it cleared up the rash that had been plagueing me for over 6 months.
