Hello Lonelysun,
I have had MS for 24 years, and I have persued every thing that I thougth might help me! You are correct to attack the MS in any way that you can! Because every MS patient is different, what helps one may not help the other. Try what ever you can, but in moderation, and keep a journel so that you know what you are doing; try one thing at a time. Currently I'm taking Calcium for spazticity along with Baclofen and MSM. To help my energy level, which is very low, I take a supplement called Ambertose (distrbuted by Mannatech). I have tried bark extract, bee vennum, cats claw extract, bee pollen, megavitimins, Avonex, Betaseron, and probably a dozen other that I don't remember. From my experience nothing has haulted the invasion of the desease in my body. The best any one can do is remain in the best physical condition you can; and try whatever you think will work. Let me say it again, do not give up physical exercise...becareful not to raise your bodies inner core temperature, and keep your heart rate low. I'll be glad to talk with you any time - Erik

Very good info Erik
I also have had ms for many years, found best thing for me is to know my limits, when I get overworked I have to rest sometimes flat on my back. the weakness is from anemia which is associated with the MS disorder.

Hi there Lonelysun....keep working out. That is what saved me for about 15 years...I did so well that even most of my family did not know about the MS. I sure wish I did not slack off of the exercising cuz I have since come to realize that it is not only the feeling of well being but the endorphins that are helping to regulate your immune system. Don't even give it up...good luck to you. JoyceF
