When I go to the mall, my hands ge sweaty, my head starts to ache, and my vision starts to blur and darken. I have NO idea why this happens, but I can't be inside of a mall any longer than 45 minutes or all of these symptoms arise. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE to shop, but does anyone else have this?

I think its called derealization/depersonalization (sp.?). It is part of anxiety. You can look it up on the web and see if it sounds like what is happening to you. Good Luck.

I get that when I walk into a shopping centre or down a busy street, but ONLY when I am on my own, which I dont do much.
How can I overcome this stupid pointless attack, which ,makes me uncomfotabley sweaty and scared, it really gets on my tits.

Hey Girl,
I've had it for years. I have Panic/Anxiety & Agoraphobia, I won't go on w/the list, http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dizzy.gif anyway, it's happened to me by myself and w/other people. In the mall, in the gro store, at home....most everywhere. I will have to say - I don't get it as often at home, therefore, I tend to stay home more. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif
It sucks but meds, self help books, therapy, and relaxation tapes have helped enormously. I've done alot of reading on the net as well. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/gabby.gif
Really wish you the best,
Bevlep
