has anyone else found that, if they're feeling down
and nervous, that 1 mg of X makes them feel , actually,
cheerful and relaxed?? What a terrific drug! Now what we need is
an OTC pill that does the same thing: we could just
drive to the drugstore and buy our happy pills.
Something non-habit forming we could pop each morning.
Any suggestions?

Xanax is great, but should be used in conjuction with some other forms of treatment.
Yes it is addictive. I have been on it for two years now and if I miss a dose, I am heading towards nutsville.
I purposely reduce the dosage on the weekends and at night will reduce my dosage as well. I am on Zoloft also and it seems to be a remarkable combination. (knock on wood)

I find that Xanax isn't the right drug for me... I just get tired but I'm still VERY anxious. I've been on .5mg (really low dose) twice a day as needed (Ha!) for a year... I haven't always taken it even once a day. I find it to "mild".
Maybe I should decrease my sugar intake ( sugar could just make me more than average jumpy) -- see following ------ :-)
Valium on the other hand does wonders for me, but I only get that before I go to the dentist :-(

try "kava"
it's a natural herb...non-addictive with 80% less side fx then Xanax...
