For the past several days Ive felt unwell.I checked my BP today and it was 79/46!!!It scared me plumb outta my mind!!

I tried my best to remain calm, however continued to check my BP ever so many minutes to make sure it had went up.

I took a nap this afternoon and when I woke I felt lots better.I hate anything that is out of the ordinary. It worries me,scares me,makes me Anxious and Panicky.

Ive NEVER had BP problems.Im not sure what made it read that level, unless it was the monitor I used which is the finger kind.

Is it possible that Buspar lowered my BP?I took 20 MG at one time today. Also I havent had much sleep the past few days.

Is it just 1 measurement? Blood pressure can vary a lot during 24 hours, during sleep it can be extremely low. There are so many variables. Eating a banana, something salty, sugary or anything else, smoking a cig, not sitting still for 5 minutes, not keeping the monitor at heart level, just waking up, being anxious, body temperature, etc. etc. And these finger or wrist blood pressure monitors do not measure very accurately.

To get a accurate measurement you should have a doctor take it.

Hi,

Thanks...am feeling a bit better.I feel terrible when I dont get enough sleep and when I feel Anxious or Panicky.

Ive had PD for a little over 8 years so have taken many different Meds.Ive taken Buspar for 2-3 years and actually need to take some other type Med.Buspar dont help much.I took 20 MG yesterday because I thought the way I had been feeling might be Anxiety.

Ive never taken more than 7.5-10 MG at one time.I'll never do that again coz if my BP reading was actually correct I feel it was by taking 20 MG Buspar and by being overly tired.

The monitor I have is a finger cuff and if you dont hold it just right the reading wont be accurate.I didnt feel faint or Dizzy the way you would feel if your BP was extremely low,I just felt bad.

Thanks for your tips and suggestions.I added salt to my Snap Peas and Rice tonight.I usually eat no extra Salt.

Hi LBS,

Yeah just 1 measurement. When I was in hospital 6 years ago being in bed inactive I had Postural Hypotension. The lowest my BP got was 90/50.I didnt feel bad the way Im feeling lately and when getting up from a lying position I got extremely Dizzy.

Everytime I have my BP checked, its always within a normal level.Of course having PD and getting Anxious its been a bit high before, however it always returns to normal.

Im thinking it was the monitor that didnt read correctly.I may of had it lower than my heart or something.Ive checked it frequently throughout the day and the readings were fine.

Thanks :)
