I suffered a cycling accident which has caused my L5 disc to degenerate. Shortly after that my shoulders and neck began to hurt. After EMG testing, doctors told me that i have Brachial Plexopathy and discs bulging in my cervical area---that was about a year ago. I know there is a surgical procedure for this but is there anything else i can do? Specific exercises? stretches? chirpopractor? Could the lower degenerative changes (in my L5) be drectly causing my neck/shoulder problems? I really need some good advice!

What kind of doctors did you see?

For my Brachial Plexus injury i've seen a Rheumatologist, Neurologist and an Orthopedic surgeon. For my back problems I've seen a Neuro-surgeon and many Orthopedic Surgeons. Spinal Fusion and Physical therapy are the only things doctors are suggesting.
