After a car accident my left arm was broken. The humerus XR showed a displaced fracture. I was put in trans oleranon skeletal traction until the day of the surgical operation. The procedure was carried out through a posterior trans triceps approach, the radial and the ulnar nerves were isolated allowing an open reduction and internal fixation of the fracture using plate and screws.
One month later the EMG showed total denervation. Two months later I still can't lift my fingers and wrist. The surgeon said that the radial nerve was not damaged at all and he wants to do a second surgical operation for revisiting the nerve. Should I have to do it or to wait a little bit more????
