I have a burning in my leg. It is not always in the same spot. It wakes me up at night. Any ideas on what it could be?

i don't know what it is, but i have the same problem...i can hardly walk for more than 5 minutes before a stabbing burning pain in my left thigh. at first, about a month ago, it was only mild but now i can't stand for more than a few seconds. i can't sleep or sit without being in constint pain. if you find out what it is, PLEASE let me know.

My leg usually burns when I am lying in bed. If I can get to my feet it seems to ease off. I am going to the doctor at the end of April.

I dunno what it is either, but I've got it in both legs. It comes and goes, no real reason or rationale as far as I can tell. I'm almost dead certain that it's neurological, though.

it appears that my problem is a nerve problem. I have been sleeping on 1 pillow instead of propping up. The problem is much better. I must not be pinching off the nerve. Hope you feel better.

This burning sensation, depending on test results etc. is usually diagnosed as peripheral neuropathy. Many doc's find that anti-seizure medications help. They have helped me. However, the burning sensation is in my entire body but no real answers about what is going on with my body.
