Would Cauda Equina Syndrome fall in the neurology or the orthopedic dept. ?

There are times that Hernaited discs causes me to loose all feeling from waist down,bladder including..and I really don't care to be a paralagic rest of my life, if this is left untreated. I've had this thru out my life..

I'm wondering if its connected to my birth defect.. i was born with floppy doll sydrome. At 2 yrs i learn to sit up and scoot on my butt.. i somehow managed to waffle my behind bad according to parents/grandparents and never even cried. I didn't crawl til I was 3 or 4 yrs old and took my first step at age 5 yrs old.

anyone else ever dealt with anything similar ?
