Sunday a horse kicked me. We were swimming in the pond when she decided to go down and roll. I was standing next to her when she through her legs out and kicked my lower leg in the front right before the shin. It started bruising immediately and swelled. I could walk without pain so I knew the bone wasn't broken. I went home and iced it and decided to go to the doctor the next day if I was still swollen. Yesterday I noticed it was also numb (no feeling at all) where the injury is and around the area and all the way down my foot. I decided it would be best to make appointment to have it looked at.
The doctor said that it was nerve trauma and would go away eventually. My leg is still swollen in places and there is a scratch and a couple of very small bruises. The scratch looks like nothing however the pains say otherwise! The only advice the doctor gave me is to keep it elevated. What can I do to stifle the pain and ad nerve regeneration?

The doctors told me to take B-6 Vitamins for my nerve injury which is also muscular. I have had my injury a very long time but ever since I started taking it, which was about 7 months after the injury, I have started doing a lot better and in a lot less pain.
