Could somebody help me, I have the following syptoms: sometimes when I get this 'attack' I can hardly breath, my heart is beating like hell, my body becomes numb It is like a thousand ants running everywhere on my body. I then take a tranquilizer and it gets better. When it is a weather front coming I feel terrible, especially before the storm. I can easily tell when it is going to rain and when it does I feel much better. What is wrong with me? I have been living on tranquilizers for 5 months now, it IS getting better but I am not the one I used to be. Please help, could it be a nervous breakdown or just stress???? Thank you.

it certainly sounds like you are having some whopper anxiety attacks. are you getting any therapy? if not you might want to talk to your doctor about seeing a therapist.

thanx, I have seen a doc and he said it was something connected to my nerves since I have been working and studying at the same time, plus my grandmother died so maybe it was the cause. Maybe I should see a therapist. Thank you very much!

You have indeed been dealing with quite a bit and there would be no harm in talking to your doctor about seeing a therapist. Who knows it might help and certainly even the healthiest of us need some help sometimes.

Help needed: Had a NCS done with emg and was concluded had ulnar nerve lesion running from one side of ring finger to the little finger all the way up arm to shoulder which is in constant pain. Pain is only from elbow up to shoulder on left arm. Feeling like a legal
junkie taking naproxen and darvocet n both daily. Anything out there to help my ulnar nerve condition.
Dr. said wrap elbow for straightness doing that, taking
inflammatory meds. and trying not to use much. This been like this over 2 months, was told to give it time, wondering how much time, don't seem like getting any better.

Mikince,
Sounds like typical panic attacks. I have them. Use to have them all the time. Xanax and anitdepressants helped me tremendously. Mine would start with my mouth getting numb and then my eyes feeling weird and then the heart shakes and thinking I was going to die and noone would care. I wanted to run when I got that way or just cry. I would itch sometimes and get sick to my stomach. You have been dealing with alot. Allow yourself sometime to rest and re-group. You are the only one that knows how you feel. Stop and breath.
There is alot of therapy out there for panic attacks.
It helps sometimes and sometimes you just have to go thru the attack. Good luck~~
