I've had upper bilateral neuropathy for a few years. Lots of muscle spasms too. In the last few weeks I've developed a new symptom. Ache in the base of both thumbs. Many of my burning and numb places started with a throbbing ache. So I wonder if this means a new nerve or nerve branch is involved.
I have ulnar and median nerve neuropathy. From what I read either one could account for the thumb.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Same here! Ulnar and median neuropathy and polyneuropathy, the base of my thumbs started hurting a couple years before that and test showed arthritis as well.
