Hi all. I've posted this on the childrens forum, but someone there said it may be a neurology problem.
My son is 7 weeks old. He does this strange thing with his legs - at anytime, he shakes one of them. It looks a bit like a dog doing a wee. He shakes it quite vigorously for about 3-4 seconds, before stopping.
It almost looks like a spasm.
I've asked Dr's and nurses but they don't know what it is.
A forum member said it sounded as though it may be a tremor or a seizure. I'm now quite worried.
Anyone here seen this before???
Thanks for any help.

Sounds to me like a common thing that is caused by the immaturity of the nervous system in infants. Should grow out of it by the time baby is about 6 months old or so, although you'll likely see flashes of it for much longer. It's scary and they do it quite frequently, don't they? I'm surprised the Docs and nurses you've spoken to didn't mention this - it's very common.
