hi!
I have NEVER met anyone (that I know of) that has a phobia like mine! Aside from being afraid of heights....I ALSO can't stand high ceilings, especially in certain kinds of buildings! It's not the ceiling itself I'm scared of, I just get that same "feeling" when I'm around high ceilings that I get when I'm around bridges, balconies, etc. It's horrible, I can't even tolerate it! I have severe panic attacks over it. When I was 5 years old I actually fainted once, while looking up at a high ceiling!
Anyone else? :)

i know what you are talking about. i don't actually faint, but i feel real uneasy. i don't like looking up at high ceilings because it feels as though my feet are not on the ground and i'm going to fall. i don't like stairwells with real big bay windows. i usually just try not to look.

Maybe you suffer from some kind of vertigo?!
