I have this terrible problem that started in my late teens. I would close my locker at the end of the day, head down the stairs and suddenly feel like I forgot to lock the lock. I would run back up and sure enough, it was locked. Now I wind up making sure that windows, doors, appliances etc are closed ten times. If I don't check things in a specific order, I feel like everything is wrong! This is driving me nuts and has been going on for years. I am now 26. When I had my appartment, it would take me twenty times longer to close it up than a normal person. Anyone else with this phobia? I would be glad to hear from them.

yeah i would say it is OCD. i have a mild case of this. I have to constantly double check EVERYTHING! I would check things 10 or 20 times. It used to be worse when i was younger but now I'm better because I just tell myself "no, it's fine just go on and leave it alone." I think it's helped me alot.
