Hi Folks,
I have a friend who gets totally freaked everytime she gets tummy ache. Sometimes she has actually avoided eating because of this.
I promise this is not me, nothing really freaks me, but has anyone else ever had the same problem?
I really want to help her in anyway I can?
Any help will be gratefully received.

Hi Big,
Thanks for your help. I think it would probably come more under fear of pain rather than tummyache.
I now think that I know the reason why she has this fear. A few years ago now, I remember that she had appendicitis and when she went to the ER, her belly hurt so much that she that she could hardly bare for the ER doc to touch it and nearly jumped off the couch. Even though she had the op and recovered well, she still has this fear.
Should I try and get her to get some help?
That was a real good link. While looking around for the section on pain, I found a link to Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome that I have passed to another friend who has this, so all in all very successful.
Thanks again
Sarah
