hi my names rachel and im 18. 6 months ago i had a c-section. they gave me 5 local anisetics, 5 spinal blocks and 2 epidurals. they hit alot of nerves and veins and i was in horrific pain. i now have nerve damage and scar tissue and can not even walk, hold my baby or get out of bed.
Now i am scared of needles, whenever i think about having them all i can think about is the pain i went through in the c-section. i never want to go through that agian

Although I'm not a doctor, I don't think you have a phobia regarding needles; phobias are typically unrealistic or exaggerated fears. I think the situation you've been through qualifies you to be afraid of the pain needles may cause. I'll bet next time you need a blood test or flu shot, etc., you'll be able to do it and (hopefully) realize how little pain there is.
