I found this board today and after reading several posts, I can not be in denile anymore. I know I am afflicted with I'd say a moderate case of OCD. Here are my list of symtoms...and please if anyone else has these let me know.

*adding numbers on signs, houses, clocks, etc.
*having a fear of the numbers 13 & 4 since 1+3=4
*touching certain things as I walk by them
*my desk at work has to be perfect, nothing can be out of place and the chair has to be pushed in when i'm not in it
*on the computer I have to click things a certain number of times until it feels right
*i have to click the snooze button 7 times on my alarm clock before i can go to bed
*if i mispell a word on the computer, i have to erase the whole sentence and start over again

if i don't do these things i feel that something horrible will happen to me. i feel trapped by these things, although they aren't as bad as they could be, and i'm lucky for that. i don't want to seek treatment, because i am trying to overcome it on my own, and i would find it humiliating to have to verbally admit it to anyone. does anyone else feel this way?

I hear you on "touching things as you walk by" and i too am wondering if i have OCD or am in the OCD family.

Do you ever think of bad things to say or imagine you doing something completely outlandish in a formal situation?
