Someone once said that OCD was, in it's roots, an anxiety disorder. That being said, does anyone else get needlessly anxious around social situatios, especially formal ones? Fear, perhaps, of saying or doing something comepletely stupid or outrageous and then get panicky?

Odd, with me, i work with people and have little trouble most of the time and only notice a spike in anxiety and panicky states around superiors.

From what I've read and been told, your symptoms are very characteristic of both OCD and other anxiety disorders, which often overlap symptomatically. Unfortunately, my problems are not exactly the same, so I cannot offer much more information. Perhaps someone else has these same problems, and you can discuss it further with them. Try searching the internet for diagnostic symptoms for OCD and different anxiety disorders- maybe you will find some interesting information! Good luck! ;)
