Is it possible for an adult to have ADD? My doctor told me I have it and I'm 32. I also have OCD. Can you have both?

Thanks in advance for responding.

-Mark
I see further down the posts that adults do have it. So I just need the answer for the second question.

From what I understand, 30% of Add people will also have something else as well. They call this comorbid. (hope I spelled it correct.)

It means, more than one thing going on that affects a person. odd and add. or add and ocd. or add and ld.

Thanks for the response. Is it possible that both conditions could be caused by a chronic illness. I have type 1 diabetes, Hypothyroidism, neuropathy, raynauds ect ect.

Does any of these conditions contribute or cause ADHD or OCD?

I do hope your doctor tested you for ADD and didn't just say you have it without proper testing. Your other conditions do not contribute to ADD or OCD.
