Hi. I'm new here, but I've had very severe OCD since I was eight years old (I'm 19 now). Right now I'm really bothered because everything I like I feel like I have to ignore because it "hurts" too much. For instance, I loved a certain rock band, went to their concert, and ever since, I can't hear the name of the band or see their videos on tv or think about the concert without "hurting" as I call it. I've got a sort of fear of liking anything too much, and so I end up hating it. Does anyone know what I mean? Whenever I certain scene in a book or movie really strikes me, I have to replay it over and over in my head until it feels right, sort of doesn't hurt anymore to think about it, but after that, I force it away from my mind and look at the book or movie without terror. This is a very stressful problem because I have to force every thought of all my favourite things and places out of my mind. I've never heard of anyone with this problem - please, is anyone out there?

I can relate to you. I don't have the exact problem that you do, but for some reason I know what you mean. Are you on any medication/seeing a doctor?
Sorry I don't have much more to say, but I know I've experienced these sensations before, it's just hard to remember specifics. It seems that my OCD has been around for so long, it all sort of blurs in my mind, if that makes any sense.
I feel for you and the pain you're going through. We're all here for you, please let me know more about this.
