Hi, I'm wondering if it sounds to you guys if I have OCD. I count calories, fat grams, everything nutritional, how many bites I eat,I I mean I memorize everything having to do with food and weight. I have a detailed food journal that I go over several times a day. Is this normal??

Hi Mandy :) Welcome.

Do you enjoy the counting? Are you working on getting fit? Do you do any sort of ritual that helps you not count?

no, i dont enjoy the counting, i can't eat anything if i dont know the mutritional contents of it. To keep from not counting, I just don't eat. It's easer somedays that way. And yes, I am working on losing weight. I've lost mabe 20-25 this month already!! :) So hopefully after I make my goal I won't count anymore, but I doubt it.

Counting calories is not a sign of OCD. Obsessing over calories and weight can be a sign of an eating disorder.

Why do you fear eating too much? Is it that you want to look better? Be in better shape? Compete? Is it something you just need to control?

Well I am nearing midnight here. Better get some sleep. Take care, Mandy.
