Has anyone had or heard of this kind of situation? I can't stop thinking of the noise, even when I'm out of the house. I dread coming home to it, when I am home I try to disguise it with other noises or else distract myself from it. I also had a baby about 5 months ago so doctor thinks OCD with Post partum depression and is treating with paxil but now I seem to be having trouble sleeping. Sounds like a stupid thing to worry about but it's driving me crazy and I'm having difficulty coping. I feel quite guilty that I think so much about this ridiculous fridge, it is energy I should use towards my baby. Any suggestions/comments?

I do the exact same thing! EXACT! Its the stupid refrigerator. I cant stand it!!!
I am the kind of person that if I want to sleep It has to be perfectly dark and QUIET!!!! And my boyfriend says he cant hear it.. BUT i CAN hear the fridge from our room!!! I dont know if I really hear it or know what it sounds like therefor think i do.. BUT at anyrate, it drives me insain! And yes, i get so anxious during the day knowing I have to go home and try to sleep with the stupid thing! When I lived with my parents and I actually unplugged the fridge once I got so mad. And let me tell you... did I ever get in trouble for that!! everything started going bad over night!! so.. DONT do that!! But no, i will check back here to see if anyone has advice! I just always keep music on during the day and i have awsome ear plugs for night as well I keep a DOWN filled pillow (the block out sound better) over my ears. This may not work for you with a baby!! But thats what I do!
just want you to know you aint alone!!!
