Help! I think I'm developing a compulsion to these message boards. I keep going from one to another, reading and rereading all the responses. It's getting hard to pull myself away for any amount of time and get other things done!

Hi Kay, I did that for a while, it kind of went in cycles. When I first found that there were sights out there like this, I didn't want to do too much else. BUT now, I make it a point to see what new is here, but not as obsessively as I did before. Point being I think you will get burned out after a while and it won't be so bad.

Allow yourself only a certain amount of time on the board. Set a timer. As soon as it rings... GET OFF!!!!!!!!!! Your internet time can only be an addiction if you allow it!! I only get on during my daughter's nap time or after she goes to bed (if my husband isn't using the computer.) I go to bed at a decent time, so I know I won't be on til 2am. Otherwise, my time is spent dealing with home and family.
If you are new to message boards, it may just be the novelty of it all. So much information!
