My wife had total knee replacement seven weeks ago; she is 55 years old and, otherwise, in good health. She is still experiencing a lot of swelling, discomfort, stiffness, and muscle aches. She uses a walker, or cane with limited walking without either. She can only be on her feet for short periods and is really starting to get discouraged that she is not progressing faster. She has 110 degrees flextion, and extension. Physical therapy, & exercises are part of a daily routine. She would like to hear from others who have had the surgery about their progress. How long did it take before the pain subsides to a tolerable limit..shop, walk for extended periods, etc. She is 30lbs overweight and knows that this is not helping. Thanks!
