After being diagnoised as having osteporosis , my doctor pescribed Fosamax, weekly dosage. After taking it for 7 weeks, I have developed severe pain in my shoulders and arms with diminsihed strength in my right arm . My shoulders pop and are very painful.
I am wondering if anyone else has had the same side effects?
I have since stopped taking it and won't be taking it again

WHAT YOU EXPERIENCED IS A DOCUMENTED SIDE EFFECT ..I WENT TO THE MERCK SITE AND THEY LIST BONE MUSCLE AND JOINT PAIN AS SIDE EFFECTS OF FOSAMAX ..

After posting a new topic about Fosamax and tendon pain, I saw your topic. My sister had a great deal of muscle and joint pain, stopped Fosamax, and she is completely better now. Her doctor doesn't want her to go back on it.
