I was told by the pharmacy there is no generic for concerta. My mail order prescription company also told me there is no generic. The Dr that prescribed the concerta told me the difference between ritalin and the concerta is that concerta
stays in the system longer than taking ritalin. The ritalin has a short term release. I hope I can get the generic because cost is very expensive for name brand.

Methylphenidate is the most commonly prescribed medication for treating and managing ADHD. It has been used safely and successfully among children and adults for
In essance this is Ritalin SR. Talk to your doctor about this.

There is no generic for Concerta because it is a NEW medicine. Actually it is a reformulation of the sustained release ritalin. Many, many people have told me they did not have good results with the SR. The new Concerta works really well. Go their (Concerta's) web site to find out more, I did.
