Hi
I've been looking on the internet for a couple of day's now trying to find other people who has seconary osteoporosis, my mam has pain all the time in the lumbasacrl spine and in hip's. yet the doctor's say she should't get this pain from osteoporosis. she hasn't had any fracture's so it's not from that. my mam has been on prednisolone for nearly 20 years on and off. This is my first time i've asked for help, anyone with information or who has had same problems please let me know.

You may want to check out fibromyalgia. This causes diffuse, generalized pain all over with particular tender points. Usually all blood work and tests will turn up negative before this is diagnosed. You said she does not have arthritis. Has she had rheumatoid studies done? Maybe a consult with a chronic pain specialist would help, a doctor in the Physical Medicine field. They address chronic pain issues. Hope this helps :)
