I am on Evista for 3 months now. My T scores were hip 2.8 and spine 3.8. I have crohns disease, acid reflux and had a mastectomy for "ductal cancer in suto" DCIS last Aug. They took me off HRT and this year my bone density bottomed out. I have been taking 3 ultra Tums with meals all along as calcium tabs bother my stomach.
I can simpathize with you guys. I am not sure if the Evista is bothering me or not. I am having mega palpatations. As I am sort of prone to them I first didn't give it a thought as being related to the Evista as it is not listed as a side effect but even Protonix for the reflux gave me palpitations.
Also, I am on Prevacid in the AM and 2 Zantac at night for the reflux and stomach gastritis (had an upper endoscopy) and it was working and now that I am on the Evista I find it is not working so good any more. I even had a terrible sore throat and tightness in the lower throat. PCP sent me to ENT who looked down there with a probe and said it was definitely acid reflux and could give you tightness and even a cough. Could be related to Evista????? My doctor's office is not friendly - the "receptionist doctor" said if I think I am having a reaction go to your PCP and have her go to the endocronologist for answers.
I think I need another doctor. In the meantime, I guess I just palpitate away. It is not just when exercising on treadmill, it happens all the time even when resting. I know my heart is OK as PCP just did an EKG and blood tests and enzymes are all OK.

if you havent already check out my post dated 8-13..i have just stopped taking evista yesterday..i was on it 16 months..my legs from my knees down started to feel like they were made of cement ...i want to see if evista is causing that...has anyone else had this same problem?
