I have bee researching the Calcium Chews ( like candies) that are currently on the market and I am wondering why all of them -even ones proported to be natural and sold in natural food stores - are made with PALM KERNEL OIL or cotton seed oil - very bad oils .

Are there any Calcium Chews which are made from ALL HEALTHY ingredients ?

Yes, not good stuff! You might check Whole Foods Health Store if you have one in your area. However, it may be that all chews contain those oils.

Frankly I don't think there is enough in these little chews to make a difference unless you use these oils in other things. The Walgreens brand lists no cottonsed oil or palm kernal oil unless it is disguised as something else. I have the caramel ones here now. The ones made by Vivactiv does show soy and cottonseed oil, I think but no palm oil. I have enough other things to worry about and at least I know these disolve which is important. They are now reporting that they are finding undisolved calcium tablets in intestines. And these taste good so I don't forget.

can anyone explain to me why soemone would opt for vivactiv or any chew ...instead of just taking os cal ..is there supposedly an added benefit to the chews?

Yes, they disolve completely, are easy on the stomach and taste good.

Yes....and anytime you can eat or drink you calcium it works better according to my research. Just remember to eat one chew at a time....as you can only absorb 500 mcg. of calcium every few hours....I found that hard to do as I wanted 2-3 chews...hehehe
They are good! The chocolate ones taste like the little "tootsie rolls"!

The chews are more readily absorbed, taste good and it isn't a horse pill to swallow. I've tried Natures Way vanilla chews and Vivact caramel chews both taste good, like candy so only one at a time. I try to eat and drink my calcium as much during the day as possible so I don't have to take the harsher pills.

Calcium capsules are very large and you need to take more than just one.

I take 17 vitamins, minerals, herbs every breakfast, lunch and dinner. To avoid having to swallow those large capsules I am now replacing them witht he viactiv chews. They are extremely tasty, plus they are a good replacement when you need that chocolate fix.
