Please don't misunderstand me, I have never spanked my kids over a diet. If I have EVER spanked them, it was when they decided it was time to slap daddy or mommy at Walmart over a toy they didn't receive, or when they use the bedroom wall for a crayon canopy or use the dog for a punching bag.
As I have stated before, I can count on one hand the number of times my kids have been spanked and now that my kids are nearing their teens, there hasnt been a spanking in my house in years, BUT...if one of them decides to slap, hit, steal, or cuss....it will occur again, they know it, and for that reason, it wont happen....for at least, as long as they live under my roof.
The spanking debate goes on but I was raised to fear doing wrong, my teachers and parents reinforced that and I feel it works if done properly with no drunks in the house.
IF god didn't threaten us with hell, who would pray?
I would, but for different reasons.
