I was in the ER for abdominal pain... The doc had me given 60 of toradol IM. It did pretty well to my amazment, It even lowerd my chronic pain which wasnt even its intent. Has anyone been given toradol for pain, if so how well did it work, dislikes likes?...Let me know you're thoughts.

I have been given 100mg of Toradol for abdominal pain and headache pain and it did nothing for me. However, I have been given demerol and had it do not much for me and then been given toradol after the demerol and then I got a boost I needed and the pain went away. So what I am trying to say is by itself it does nothing for me. But when used with another pain medicine it will enhance it and give me the relief I need.

I was giving toradol shot in the er when I had a kidney stone it worked fantastic. I was giving the pill form for at home and it did nothing, I guess the shot must of been more potent.

Well, CATTYS, I'm happy for you, but you guys ruin it for the rest of us. :) By you guys I mean for those whom toradol helps with kidney stones. By the rest of us I mean for those that it does NOTHING, and we have to sheepishly ask for narcotics.

Well people react to diff meds differently.
Those of us who need the narcotics still struggle with finding relief. For us relief from pain will always be a struggle and a fight. We just have to make due with what we got.
