Hi cheryl...I remember you from the lung cancer board I dont post there but I read all the forums. Methadone oral is stronger than Morphine oral. Say 10mg of meth is 15mg of morphine...But in liquid or injection they both worked out to be the same. I am far from an expert on pain meds there are other people here that know wayyy more than I do. How is Dan doing? I am taking oxycontin and percocet for my TMJD and I have heard from my doc it is used alot for cancer pain and I know forsure it is stronger than Morphine. Oxycontin is a 12 hour time release pill. What do the Docs have your husband on now for his pain? I am sure someone more knowledgeable will be along soon to answer you. God bless.

Hi. Danny is now on Methodone. Around 100cc. per day. He went from motrin to darvocet to tylenal/cod to vicodin to demeral to oxycontin & oxycodone to morphine to meth. His cancer has taken over his right lung and he is in constant pain. Now it is in the left lung and liver. He is still here with me and as long as my back holds out I will take care of him. It just seems like with all the technology there should be a way to help control his pain.
Thankyou for the prayers and keep them coming...Cheryl
