I recently on tuesday had an epildural done for results of a car accident 2yrs ago. I have a bad c56 & 67. The PM doc said i should feel relief in about 2 or 3 days. So far....no results. Even pain meds aren`t working. Just wondering if anyone here has had good luck. Thanks :)

Yes I have had these injections done for the past year now. At first they did help and now am back to plan A. I am looking for something else to help me releive my pain. my pain meds dont work anymore either! I have bulding dics in cervical 5 & 6. i am thinking about giving acupunture a try. i hope all works out for you.

i am having an epidural done on thursday for a herniation at the T7-8. can you tell me about your experience? wondering how much pain you were in while it was being done? were you in any pain after the procedure? i am meeting the pm doctor tomorrow for the first time. i have no idea what to expect. i guess it usually takes 1 month after your evaluation to actually have the procedure done. my physiolgiost(sp) called in a favor and told the doctor i needed this epidural so he is doing it thursday.

any info would be great!! i hope you are starting to feel some relief.

take care

Hi Kathy,
My epidural was a VERY pleasent experience for me, considering i have a phobia about needles!! Im the biggest chicken! But all i had to do was fast the night before i arrived and the nurse inserted a small intervenus needle in my hand to where they would pit the anesthia. I laid on the table on my stomach, then they put the juice in and i started the countdown 99,98,97,zzzzzzzzzz.........Thats all!! I woke up an hour later an never felt a thing! No pain from where they inserted the MAIN needle at all. I hope i put your mind at ease. Let me know how you do. :) Take care,
MIKE

Hi Mike,

i wasn't as lucky as you to be sedated for the procedure. i just got to take 10mg of valium and of course i took 2 vicoden as well. the procedure wasn't that painful. i did feel the needles and it was uncomfortable. nothing like i expected though. my back was in terrible pain last night. probably from the novacaine wearing off. today it isn't much better. i am hoping for better results tomorrow.

how are you doing? i hope better.
kathy
