pippen 21 I am just going to tell a little about my pain it is a pain deep inside the pelvis and in my testicles. It started about a year and a half ago and has been constant ever since, I've been to 3 different urologists and many other doc's and none of them know what's causing this.I have also had ct scans, urine analysis, blood work, semen samples, cystoscopy, and over thirty different meds to help control the pain.I now see a pain doc who is great and has helped me get some of my life back on track.

Hi,
Well, I will admit, I thought you were female suffering with pelvic pain. Sorry, maybe I didn’t read your post completely.
We do have one thing in common though and that is not being able to find the root of the cause for our pelvic pain! It is extremely frustrating isn’t it? I have told Dr.’s “you can clone sheep and now possibly humans, but you can’t tell me why I hurt?”
I too have had every test under the sun to no avail. I finally decided to see a pain doctor.
I am still fighting to find answers because when this pain is there, it leaves me curled into a fetal position. I have been stripped of confidence knowing that this could come back at any time or anywhere. I did take Lupron which made it go away, but this is only a temporary solution.
Anyway, I hope you find the help you need!!!!

Just wondering if you EVER had any pelvic surgery? This can lead to adhesions(scar tissue) which can ruin your life (at least mine!), and will not show up on CT scans or sonos...etc. There was a recent study done in the U.K. on adhesion tissue itself which found that the adhesions actually contain nerve fibers. So it's not just the organs/ligaments, etc they can attatch to/pull on but the fact the the nerve fibers in and of themselves in the adhesions can cause pain. I suffer terribly..and though you are suffering as a man...it's the same pain. You can't get away from your pelvis...an arm or leg you can put up and rest..but what to do about the pelvis? Hang in there..I FEEL for you! Surgical Disaster

I am a 33 year old male and I too have pain in my pelvic area, though not near as bad as any of you. My pain is mostly on the right side and spreads into my hip. My main problem is degenerated disc disease and spondililothesis. That is where my spine has shifted 2-3mm between my L5 and S1 vertabraes.
I went thru some physical therapy where I did all sorts of stretches and my therapist helped to loosen the muscles up by sticking his fingers into the side of my groin area right in the area where my leg meets my groin area. I would lay flat of my back and raise my leg and he would shove his fingers into the pelvic muscle and have me straighten my leg out. I felt mush better in my pelvic area, but my back pain would always worsen. Now I have to depend on Methadone to take the pain away. I now have gotten all the symptoms of having Fibromyalgia.
I'm sorry I couldn't bring much help, but it may be something you haven't tried.
Keep a strong faith in God and try not to ever give up. I will keep you in my prayers.
God Bless !

Please visit this site, read the symptom info, and the special section just for men: http://ic-network.com
Interstitial Cystitis (IC) is a disease causing great inflammation in the bladder. I read that you've been seeing a Urologist, and have had cystoscope exam, but the ONLY way to correctly diagnose this disease is to have a cystoscope exam while under anesthesia!! Water is pumped into the bladder - which actually stretches the bladder - withdrawn, then examined for the tiny, bleeding and scabbing sores on the bladder wall. While IC is mainly seen in women, men also can have it. Also, while there is bleeding within the bladder, it's normally not seen to the naked eye, or even in urine tests.
Having this disease myself to a severe extent, I hope this is not what is causing your pain. However, I do think your symptoms are similar enough that you should at least read the info and see if you think this might be what's going on. There are several various treatments for IC and not everyone with it has pain. For those who do have pain, it's one of the most difficult types of pain to treat as raw nerves are often exposed, there's a great deal of inflammation involved, and pain can occur anywhere from the belly button to the mid thigh - and anywhere in between!!
Wishing you better relief and answers soon!
