I can't believe what happened today, I went for my monthly visit to my PM doc where I have been peeing in the cup for analysis and he said that the only thing they find is my methadone. Next he say's "why should I write you for dilaudid(my BT med) if you're not taking it,you could be selling it or somthing"I was so pissed!!!!! SO he refused to write my breakthrough med and the klonipin that he was givivg me for sleep .And just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, He cut my methadone by 30 pills a month and will cut that by 30 pills next month,I don't understand why the dilaudid and klonipin didn't show up because I'm taking it as prescribed!!!!The only thing I can attribute this to is that there is another doc in thier practice that I had trouble with about a year ago,and that one cut me off of 75mg of methadone saying i was a drug seeker after I went through a intensive outpatient program for cronic pain that he ran.(my work comp insurance company made me attend that)That the two of them got together and that old doc gave me a bad rap is all I can think of,and if that is the case than that is pretty &%$#_up.I still can't believe it. All I can do is call his office when I'm out of my BT meds and complain daily and see what happens Thanks for letting me vent!!!!! Rick

Hey Rick, dilaudid has a very short half life, 2-3 hours, If you did not take a dilaudid yesterday it would not show in your system today, If you took it early yeaterday it still may not show today. If you ran out a few days ago , nothing again.

It does seem this doc is back peddling, It seems that if you able to use less dilaudid then your base dose is working. With a decrease in meth I would bet that your dilaudid intake increases, but without the pills you will be out by the end of the month and once again test negative for Hydromorph. Your in a loose loose situation. Perhaps pointing this out at some point may help resolve the problem.

DCcing Klonopin abruptly could land you in the emergency room after a seizure, How long and what dose were you taking. Klonopin has a very long half life 30+ hours, that should have been positive if you had taken any in the last 4-5 days.

Because of the long half life it's a little forgiving, you could skip a dose but IF your PM isn't going to prescribe it go to your GP or ask for a psych referrel. You can't just stop a benzo cold turkey without risk of harm. Good luck, Ocean
